Returns & Refund Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2025

This Returns & Refund Policy forms an integral part of the Divisart Shop General Terms and Conditions. It explains how returns, exchanges, refunds, and the right of withdrawal work when purchasing from our webshop.

If you have any questions before or after placing an order, please contact us. We're always happy to help.

1. Before you order

We encourage you to read the product description, size guide, material information, and estimated production time before placing your order.

Many of our products are produced specifically after an order is placed. Because of this, choosing the correct size before ordering is especially important.

If you are unsure about sizing, materials, or any product details, please contact us before completing your purchase.

If the user does not agree with all provisions of these Terms, the website and the services available through it may not be used.

Any new features, tools, services, functions, products, or resources that are added to the current Webshop in the future shall also be subject to these Terms.

The Seller reserves the right to amend, supplement, replace, or update these Terms at any time by publishing the revised version on the website. The Customer is responsible for reviewing this page periodically. Continued access to or use of the website following the publication of any changes shall constitute acceptance of those changes.

2. Your right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing within the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing any reason, in accordance with applicable European and Hungarian consumer protection legislation.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after you, or a person designated by you (other than the carrier), receive the ordered product.

If your order consists of multiple deliveries, the withdrawal period begins when the final item has been received.

3. How to request a return

If you wish to return a product, please contact us before sending the item back.

Your request should include:

  • your name
  • your order number
  • the product(s) you wish to return
  • the reason for the return (optional, but helpful)

Once we receive your request, we will provide the appropriate return instructions and return address.

4. Conditions for returning products

Unless otherwise permitted by law, returned products should:

  • be returned within 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal;
  • be unused and unwashed;
  • be in their original condition;
  • include any original labels, accessories, and packaging where applicable.

You are responsible only for any reduction in the value of the product resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.

5. Return shipping

Unless otherwise stated, the direct cost of returning the product is the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service for all returns, particularly for international shipments, as the customer remains responsible for the package until it has been received.

6. Refunds

Once the returned product has arrived and has been inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If the return is approved, the refund will be processed using the same payment method that was used for the original purchase, unless another method has been agreed upon.

Refunds are generally processed within 14 days after:

  • the returned product has been received, or
  • you have provided satisfactory proof that the product has been shipped back,

whichever occurs first, in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.

Original delivery charges will also be refunded where required by law. Additional shipping costs resulting from choosing a delivery method other than our standard shipping option are not refundable.

Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.

7. Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong size or would like to exchange your product for another available size or item, please contact us before returning the product.

Whenever possible, we will help arrange an exchange.

If an exchange cannot be completed, the returned item will be handled according to the standard refund procedure, and a new order can be placed separately.

8. Products that cannot be returned

Certain products are exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal where permitted by applicable law.

These may include:

  • products made specifically to your order;
  • clearly personalised or customised products;
  • certain print-on-demand products manufactured individually after purchase.

Where a product is not eligible for return or withdrawal, this will be clearly indicated on the relevant product page before purchase.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights if a product is defective, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.

9. Damaged, incorrect, or defective products

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible.

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include:

  • your order number;
  • a description of the problem;
  • clear photographs showing the product and, where applicable, the packaging.

After reviewing the information, we will arrange an appropriate solution, which may include replacement, repair, refund, or another remedy available under applicable law.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not yet received your refund:

  • check your bank account again;
  • contact your payment provider or credit card company;
  • contact your bank, as processing times may vary.

If you have completed these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact us and we will gladly assist you.
